G702, G703 & AIA-Style Billing Basics

Start here if you’re trying to understand the forms, how they relate, and what “AIA-style” actually means.

An AIA-style pay application follows the familiar construction billing structure commonly associated with the G702 summary and G703 continuation sheet. PayAppPro helps you generate AIA-style pay application documents without spreadsheets.

AIA billing software helps contractors create AIA-style pay applications (G702-style summary + G703-style continuation sheet), manage Schedule of Values line items, retainage and stored materials, and export submission-ready PDFs. For a full breakdown, see AIA Billing Software.

G702 is the summary page for the payment request. G703 is the continuation sheet that shows the Schedule of Values (SOV) line items supporting the G702 totals. See: AIA G702 and AIA G703.

Still building pay apps in spreadsheets?

That’s where broken formulas, mismatched G702/G703 totals, and month-to-month carryforward errors usually start.

Plans, Limits & Pricing

Answers to common questions about the $7.99 option, upgrades, and account limits.

The one-time plan lets you create and download an AIA-style pay application package for one project. You can upgrade later if you need more projects or pay applications.

Yes. You can upgrade at any time for higher or unlimited caps on projects and pay applications, depending on the plan.

No. Plans use lifetime caps. Your plan defines how many total projects and pay applications you can create, and deletions do not restore used capacity.

You can still log in and view existing data, but you won’t be able to create new projects or pay applications beyond your plan’s caps. To keep creating new work, you’ll need to upgrade.

Workflow, Outputs & Project Files

Practical questions about exports, retainage, change orders, lien waivers, and project documentation.

PayAppPro exports AIA-style outputs as PDF for submission, internal review, and archiving.

PayAppPro supports retainage across Schedule of Values line items and can reflect approved change orders so current and cumulative values stay consistent from period to period.

Yes. You can store project files like signed lien waivers and certificates of insurance (COIs) alongside your pay applications, and attach supporting documents as needed.

PayAppPro is built primarily for subcontractors and smaller contractors who submit AIA-style pay applications to general contractors or owners, without needing a large enterprise platform.

PayAppPro outputs follow an industry-standard, AIA-style structure for a G702-style summary and G703-style continuation sheet, which helps reduce back-and-forth with reviewers.
